Foundational Patterns

Foundational patterns were laid out on the floor. We explored the whole iceberg and noticed our worldview and understanding shifting. We saw how systems are self-organizing no matter what pattern they are in and could make sense of when our practices can be put to best use in the complexity of the times we’re in. We saw the space for leadership to emerge out of the chaordic path that we are all walking on.

“There is no constantly still balance. Even a master is not totally still, but making a multitude of small adjustments. Even walking is a dynamic falling forward.”

“Are we correcting towards our values or towards our habits?”
Turn “Oh shit we are falling apart” to “Oh thank goodness we are falling apart.”

“Body to body is force.
Mind to mind is persuasion.
Spirit to spirit is inspiration.”

About Our Venue

The Cloquet Forestry Center, located 135 miles north of St. Paul campus, AND JUST 30 MINUTES FROM DULUTH, offers a beautiful setting and holding for our work together.  It's home to trees of many ages, sizes and species. The northern Minnesota location is also the natural habitat for diverse wildlife. It’s not unusual to see moose, wolves, bears, lynx, bobcats, porcupines, pine martins, hares, goshawks, deer, and ruffed grouse.

located within the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation, CFC partnerS with the tribe on forest management and educational programming.
